ASIA PACIFIC UNIVERSITY COLLEGE OF TECHNOLOGY AND INNOVATION (UCTI)

THE CONFERENCE

ASIA PACIFIC UNIVERSITY COLLEGE OF TECHNOLOGY AND INNOVATION (UCTI) is proud to announce that our School of Business will be organising the first UCTI Business & Management Conference 2010 on the 25th and 26th October 2010.

The theme of the conference is “Towards Global Ready Business – Issues and Challenges”.

Going global has its attraction for businesses: wider market share, cross-cultural communication, access to resources, management versatility and evolution of business strategies, among others. With the revival of the current economy, it is vital for businesses to gear themselves to compete in the global market and perhaps support the recovery of the economy through business activities. Many lessons were learnt in the last 2 years where in 2008, we saw the plummeting of the world economy. Challenges such as increase in oil prices, worldwide workforce reduction in some multinational companies and closures of some established industries are just a few examples that deter global growth.

Current economic conditions and business trends present various issues and challenges for businesses to address, in their quest of going global. We invite local and international scholars, practitioners, researchers, professionals and students to submit your scholarly works in areas that will contribute towards the theme of the Conference.

Due to overwhelming response, the committee has agreed to revise the due dates as follows:

Abstract Due Date : 30 June 2010
Full Papers : 30 July 2010
Final Papers : 15 August 2010
Registration Due Date : 30 July 2010
